Why cite your ISU INBRE program?
Every year, your ISU INBRE program provides hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of biomedical research at ISU. These funds support three main areas:
1) ISU graduate and undergraduates student training for careers in biomedical research, 2) essential infrastructure improvement and maintenance in shared facilities at ISU, and 3) direct support of promising research. All of these efforts are intended to make ISU faculty more competitive for NIH funding.
In order to continue receiving INBRE funding, our annual reports must indicate success in all three areas. The best indications of success are publications describing projects enhanced or made possible by INBRE funding at ISU.
Project enhancement can include usage of INBRE-funded instrumentation, involvement of INBRE-sponsored students, direct INBRE support of research, or other indirect enhancement (e.g., INBRE seminars, annual meetings, etc).
How to cite your ISU INBRE program:
If your work benefited from the use of INBRE equipment or an INBRE sponsored student worked in your lab or you received money from INBRE that contributed to your research or career, you MUST cite INBRE on all publications, presentations, press releases, requests for proposals, bid invitations, or any other documents or applications that describe projects or programs that were supported by INBRE.
