Brittany has learned a different side of doing science through the INBRE program.

As the INBRE program comes to an end, I am nothing but grateful for the experience. These last few weeks have been quite stressful and long, but I’ve learned a great deal of knowledge. In the past week, I’ve began putting together my poster for the conference and running absorbance studies on zirconium-based Metal-Organic Frameworks. After collecting data from the studies, I have begun to prepare graphs for my poster and analyze what the data means.

The INBRE program has taught me a different side of science that I was never exposed to. Throughout this journey I have learned how to research and find articles, conference etiquette, poster designing, and how to analyze data. I am super excited but also nervous for the conference. The conference will be a great experience and allow me to explain the hard work I’ve been putting in this summer.
